Lip Syncing Task Short Evaluation

Questions:

1.        Why that particular song?
-‘Castle on the Hill’ because it is a male vocalist and the lyrics were easy to express with passion.

2.        What was difficult about the lip syncing
-  The difficult parts were getting the pace right when the song would speed up and slow down the actions of the singer had to match the pace in everything he did, especially the lip syncing.

3.       How easy was it to cut to the beat?  E.g. change shots in time to the music
- We had a range of different shots for the same parts of the song so it would be easy to cut different shots to the beat and select the ones we preferred most that would fit in well.

4.       What effects did you put in the video and why?
- We used transitions and dissolves mainly to make smooth cuts to different shots to make the music video flow more cohesively.

5.       What would you change/ do better if you did it again?
- I would've preferred to have more time to create a bigger variety of shots and use more locations to make the video more diverse and connote more emotions across to the audience.

6.       What has it taught you about planning for the real music video in September?
- That planning is essential in making a clear music video, showing the beginning, middle and end.

7.       What was your narrative about and the star image of your artists?
- About how his life has changed so much from being a kid always hanging out with his friends to the harsh truths of life and different realities of his life and his childhood friends.
